From the data a smart refrigerator sends to the service provider, with the help of Microsoft Power Automate, it can predict and fix the refrigerator before it is broken. My job is to enable hundreds of partners publish connectors to their services.
I am currently leading the connector open source initiative, which is generating more contribution and collaboration for Microsoft Power Automate services. I am managing a 2-engineer team for connector certification website. I provide technical direction and manage the project.

Sr. Software Engineer \ Technical Lead, Expedia
Expedia Group is an online travel company for consumer and small business travel.
The project I worked on was created to work on aggregated data to allow machine learning application to build knowledge and understanding for partner success. I managed 4 engineers to build a streaming big data pipeline and provided technical leadership and mentorship for the team. I ran weekly learning sessions, challenged the team to develop robust yet simple solutions, and coached the engineers to write good code and documentation.

Sr. Software Engineer \ Technical Lead, Relativity
Relativity is the 2017 Moxie award winner that develops an e-Discovery solution for managing large volumes of evidence during litigation.
A litigation that needs to work with multi-terabyte of data cannot use existing databases that are not designed to handle massive amount of data. Moreover, every audit done on a case must be stored for several years. I worked on a project that dealt with these big data cases and allowed the company to provide service for multi-million-dollar clients.
I managed a 2-engineer team to develop a search engine for 45 TB of audit logs. The project was a key to win $2.5 million project and was demoed during the yearly keynote conference. I also managed 3-engineer team for SonarQube static analysis adoption effort for about 300 engineers. It helped drive the software quality up for the company.

Sr. Software Engineer \ Technical Lead, Ansys
ANSYS is a fortune 500 company that develops Engineering simulation software.
I developed many software components, including Siemens NX, Solid Edge. I mentored a test engineer and led a software component development from scratch called Teamcenter.
Teamcenter is a third-party product data management software. The software to connect to Teamcenter generated about $100,000 per year.

Co-Founder, Sachalayatan
Sachalayatan is a media organization that provides high quality and reliable source of news and information in Bengali language.
I co-founded the media website, sachalayatan.com, that generated 1 million page-views. The organization received the innovation award from the internet and communication ministry of Bangladesh for advancing Bengali language on the web.
I developed the business model, recruited the developer, core writers, and brand marketers, collected donations and developed rules and guidelines for the organization. People and public relationship management, fund raising, and leadership exercises broadened my skill set.
The business model centers around three things. First, strong focus on high quality articles regulated using a group of content moderators. Second, a collaborative social network fostered by article comments, messaging and chat applications. Third, lowered the technological barrier for writing Bengali by developing browser-based transliteration tools, converter for existing Bengali content, and by adopting Unicode technology on the website.

Research and Teaching Assistant, Arizona State University
The research project sponsor owns and operates many complex electro-mechanical systems that are decades old.
Due to the cost of replacement, these systems may continue to be used for decades to come, well beyond their intended design life. Continued maintenance requires spare parts, but the original manufacturers may no longer be around to provide them. This research project addresses the problem.
After successfully delivering the software and data model to US Military, the model continued to be used in recent projects involving car join design exploration and automatic tolerance detection for mass manufacturing systems, such as car manufacturing.

OAM+: An Assembly Data Model for Legacy Systems Engineering, ASME IDETC
Neutral Definition and Recognition of Assembly Features, ASME IDETC
Research work in this area helped US military fix legacy electro-mechanical systems in combat situation where the manufacturing facility is inadequate. The technology is currently being used in car manufacturing and automated tolerance detection in large manufacturing systems.
Autism awareness and support through writings and donations
Many parents struggle to accept their child’s diagnosis. The chronic stress of taking care of an autistic kid on top of the social pressure can distract parents from providing the appropriate care the kid needs. I write about various aspects of our struggle and then coach parents of the newly diagnosed kids, so that they can receive proper care and support. I also donate to US and Bangladeshi Autism related organizations.
